Christmas lights and Ginerbread houses!!!

THis past weekend Paul decided he wanted to make a gingerbread house, so we went out looking for a gingerbread house kit ( I know lame, but I am not patient enough to make it from scratch!) WE found one, and him and the kids had a blast putting it together. I stood back and took pictures until Paul commented that I was not "helping" SO I put the finishing touches on it. What he does not realize is I really was helping, cause I was keep Gunner happy so he wouldn't destroy there creation. If you look close you will notcie that Braxton never really put anything on the house, he just kept eating the frosting, he would dip his hands in it when no one was watching!!

And WAA LAA, the finished product. Pauls threw away the little frosting tip so he had to do the door and everything with a knife!
THen Paul decided to get up and put the lights up, the kids decided they wanted to head up on the roof with him (I didn't like this idea) . So he being the nicer parent let them. They definatly don't take after me cause you wouldn't catch me dead on that roof. Braxton got a little nervous on his was up, but once he was up there he was fine!

Cambria cheering on the roof!!!! What a dork:)

We bought this box of these 30 dollar icicles and what a waste, they ended up only being like 3 feet long, and looked stupid wherever we put them. We finally found a spot for them, and I still think they look dumb, so I think I will be taking them down. Paul keeps commenting that it looks like our house has a beard, so he doesn't like where they are at either. Oh well !!!
Gunner was sad cause he kept wanting to get up on the roof to. Life is just so not fair when you are 1. He is growing up so fast and it is so sad., He walks around all day saying "daddy wuv wu" "mommy wuv wu" and he says please and thank you to everything (peese and date du) and if you ask him whos cute he says " meeeeee " He love my friend Mikela and he always asks "pay mike" Which means he wants to play at mikes house. She is the one who watches them most of the time and he just loves her. Which i am so greatful for!!! I just wish he would quit growing. I wish he would just stay where he is at forever ( minus still waking up in the middle of the night ) :)

Cute! Cute! Your kids are brave...I still won't go on the roof, I am too chicken! You will have to take a far away pic of the lights. That is the one thing I miss about up north...driving around and looking at the houses with pretty lights. True that there are lights down here, but everything is so far away! Merry Christmas!

The gingerbread house looks GREAT, my kids would love that. I think the icicles look good, you should keep them up!
