Pictures!!!!

My wonderful friend/and the best photographer ever Stacy, took my kids picture, and they turned out so cute!! She does such a good job, and they always turn out perfect (thanks stac). Here are a few of my favorites:

Cookies!!!!

Yesterday Paul, Cheech and Casey were watching th Pittsburgh/cowboys game. And if any of you that know Paul well enough, when the steelers are playing you don't want to get in his way. Casey brought Brailee with him and Trevor came over with Cheech. They were running wild in the house and I knew Paul would snap if they kept it up so I decided to make sugar cookies, they all had a blast and it kept them out of the guys way....

The finished product!!!

Later that night, Paul informed me that I am the best cookie maker ever. I always personally have felt that I can't make cookies worth crap so this took me by surprise, I feel I have taught myself to be a pretty good cook, but have always felt I could be better when it came to baking. It is a coincident, that today the topic of the day was your favorite cookie recipe, so I asked Paul what his favorit e one is, he told me it was a toss up between my pumkin chocolate chip ones, and my snickers cookies, both of which are the simplest cookies to make.
The pumkin chocolate chip ones are just a small can of pumkin 1 spice cake mix, and chocolate chips. Mix those 3 ingredients together and bake them on 350* for 13 minutes.
The snicker ones, you just make a basic peanut butter cookie mix, or even use the pre made pillsburry dough, wrap the dough around a snickers and bake!!!!!!

I still believe in Santa:)

I have been challenged, to blog everyday until Christmas, I definatly think it will be a challenge, cause I am sure you all don't want to hear about my boring life, so we were givin topics to blog about which hopefully will make it a little better, so on the days my kids are not so interesting, I will use the topic. Todays topic was when did you learn the truth about santa!!!!

I am not sure quite how old I was, it had to have been about 3rd or4th grade. WE still lived in the house on main street, and my mom was at work for the day. WEll my mom liked to keep her list of things "Santa" was buying us in the back of a notebook. One day I must have been looking for paper to color on or something, and came across the list. WEll my sister was home at the time, so I took it to her crying, and asked her if it was what I thought it was. She kindly reassured me that it was what I thought it was, and went on to call my mom and let her know that I now knew about Santa. Funny thing is, is all these years later, I am as Stupid as my mother was and also write a list of things "santa" is getting the kids in the back of my notebook, and about a week ago Cambria found it. She was a very good girl and brought it to me and asked " mom should I be reading this" As I screamed and ripped it out of her hands. I asked her what she had read and she had only read "Braxton spongebob wii" I went on to tell her that santa likes mommies to write him a list of the things we think he should get the kids to help him out.Luckily she hasn't got quite old enough to question santa quite yet so she bought it. But I always say the second you quit believing santa won't bring you anything!! So I definatly still believe, and hope my kids keep beliieving for a long time...

Christmas lights and Ginerbread houses!!!

THis past weekend Paul decided he wanted to make a gingerbread house, so we went out looking for a gingerbread house kit ( I know lame, but I am not patient enough to make it from scratch!) WE found one, and him and the kids had a blast putting it together. I stood back and took pictures until Paul commented that I was not "helping" SO I put the finishing touches on it. What he does not realize is I really was helping, cause I was keep Gunner happy so he wouldn't destroy there creation. If you look close you will notcie that Braxton never really put anything on the house, he just kept eating the frosting, he would dip his hands in it when no one was watching!!

And WAA LAA, the finished product. Pauls threw away the little frosting tip so he had to do the door and everything with a knife!
THen Paul decided to get up and put the lights up, the kids decided they wanted to head up on the roof with him (I didn't like this idea) . So he being the nicer parent let them. They definatly don't take after me cause you wouldn't catch me dead on that roof. Braxton got a little nervous on his was up, but once he was up there he was fine!

Cambria cheering on the roof!!!! What a dork:)

We bought this box of these 30 dollar icicles and what a waste, they ended up only being like 3 feet long, and looked stupid wherever we put them. We finally found a spot for them, and I still think they look dumb, so I think I will be taking them down. Paul keeps commenting that it looks like our house has a beard, so he doesn't like where they are at either. Oh well !!!
Gunner was sad cause he kept wanting to get up on the roof to. Life is just so not fair when you are 1. He is growing up so fast and it is so sad., He walks around all day saying "daddy wuv wu" "mommy wuv wu" and he says please and thank you to everything (peese and date du) and if you ask him whos cute he says " meeeeee " He love my friend Mikela and he always asks "pay mike" Which means he wants to play at mikes house. She is the one who watches them most of the time and he just loves her. Which i am so greatful for!!! I just wish he would quit growing. I wish he would just stay where he is at forever ( minus still waking up in the middle of the night ) :)

Time to play catch up :)

Well I have not posted for a very long time, and I am very far behind, so I am going to attempt to catch up. SO I am warning you all this might be a long post.

Thanksgiving was good. We had 2 days of it, SO needless to say Paul was happy, he LOVES Thanksgiving. (probably just cause he likes to eat) . We went to my moms the Sunday before, and then we went to Pauls Familys on thanksgiving.

My mom bought the kids coloring books, and it kept them all busy. (notice the 2 big kids Jamie and Paul)

We have Thanksgiving dinner at the highschool, because Pauls family is so big, there is not a house to fit us all. It was extra fun this year though cause Gunner thought it was fun to wander around the school, so we all took turns chasing him around.

After we eat every year everyone either heads to the gym or stays in the cafeteria and plays Bingo. My kids were actually really into the Bingo this year ( I think they were after the prizes) Cambria kept stealing my card everytime I won, cause she thought my cards were lucky :)

Paul always head down to the gym to play basketball. Bingo did not last very long for me, because Gun kept running away and when he wasn't running away, he was trying to eat the Bingo Beans. Tyson lost to Paul in Basketball, and that won us a baby sitter for a night !!! Yeah!!!! Gunner loved it in the gym cause he could run wild, and there were lots of" ba ba balls". But then he discovered the stairs and the boys locker room, and then the chasing started again. I think everytime I turned around he was gone.

Paul thought it would be a great idea to get to the balcony this way instead of using the stairs, and so all of a sudden Gunner thought he would try to chase daddy up the same way :)

Heres just some fun Pictures from the day. Gunner loves shaylynn:)

And heres the 2 boys. They are just so much fun to watch play together. I love that they are the same age.

Cambria and the 2 girls Madi and mackenzie, that live next to us, spend most of there free time at Madis house making up cheers. They had made a Thanksgiving one up and Cambria was dying to show it to me. She kept telling me," mom we are performing at 4". It was so cute, and actually I must say the cheer was quite creative.

Here is Braxton with his special day poster. He could not wait to go to school that day, cause he kept saying " mom its like I am having my birthday all over again "

The picture on the right was of Trevon. My sister came out so we could get all of our littel neighbor gifts put together and wrapped. Well all of the kids had fallen asleep and Trevon was a trooper and stayed up with us. So he pulled Cambrias bean bag down to the kitchen and made his bed next to us :)
And Last but not least, I am thinking Christmas trees were not a good Idea this year. I got the ornaments out so the kids could decorate our downstairs tree, and the second I opened the box, there came Gunner " Ball Ball Ball Ball" So We decided to wait and put them on when he took a nap. Well He never took a nap and the kids got impatient to I decided to just deal with it, but I must say I was ripping my hair out by the time I was done. And It is fully decorated from top to bottom, but we will see how long that lasts.
This Is Cambrias little tree she bought with her own money to put in her room. ( Lets see how long it stays in one piece with gun around )

One last note.....while I was blogging, Gunner tore all of the ornaments off the bottom of the tree, so Cambria so kindly moved them all up to the top. SO now I have a half decorated Christmas tree ......Oh well guess thats life with a 1 year old :)

Happy thanksgiving!!!!

Well I would feel bad if I did not post about the things that I am grateful for, cause there are so many of them, and there is no better time in the world to do it then on Thanksgiving.
I have to start by saying that I am so grateful for our heavenly father. With out him nothing else that I am thankful for would even be possible. I am so grateful for the power of prayer, and that even at a young age, and even though you cant call me the number one mom when it comes to taking my kids to church, my kids even know the power of prayer.
Family!!!! I am so grateful for my family. All the way around. My husband has got to be one of the best men I know. He is such a hard worker, and seriously the number 1 dad!!!!! He is not a complainer and he is the optimistic person you will ever meet.....which balances us out, cause I am definatly the exact opposite. I am so grateful for Cambria, she is my rock, and I know my life would not be complete without her. Braxton, is such a funny kid, and my life would be so dull without him. And Gunner... what can I say, he seriously keeps me on my toes. I love my kids with all my heart and am so blessed to have them, I cant imagine my life without them, how seriously boring would that be . I am so grateful for my mom... I couldn't live without her. She is my shoulder, when I need someone.. She is one of my best friends!!! I am grateful for my sister, We have such different outlooks on life, but I love her to death. I am so grateful for my wonderful inlaws. I really lucked out, and I love them to death.
There are so many little things to be grateful for. I am grateful that Paul has a good job, it is such a scary time in this world, and it is nice to know that he works somewhere that just does not have the policy of laying off, that truly is a blessing. I am grateful for modern medicine. without it who knows where Paul would be. I am grateful for all those people trying to find a cure for diabietis, it gives me hope that one day Paul will be cured. I am grateful that my kids have been lucky enough to be so healthy. And Friends.........I am so grateful for good friends. Paul and I seriously have some of the greatest friends, and I am so grateful for that. Good friends are hard to find, and I feel lucky that we have such great ones.
I could probably go on for days, I probably get wrapped up in wordly things and dont always sit down to remember how truly blessed I am. I am glad for all of the many blessings in my life. I hope everyone has a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!!
